Branch Leadership

To focus on specific disciplines within the state, TRAPS offers five branches to its membership. Each branch is led by a Branch President and host various meet-ups throughout the year.

Leisure and Aging Branch

Branch President: Jill Beam, Rowlett

The Leisure and Aging branch aims to service the programming, park design, active well being of seniors throughout the state of Texas. View Site


Minorities in Leisure Services Branch

Branch President: Sean Johnson, Lancaster

Also known as the “MILS Branch,” the Minorities In Leisure Service Branch consider the punitive and disadvantaged relationships that have characterized the role and function of women and ethnic minorities within the state. View Site


Park Operations and Planning Branch

Branch President: Jacob Zuniga, Deer Park

Also known as the “POPS Branch,” the Park Operations and Planning Branch focuses on the needs of professionals whose design and maintenance of facilities and parks keep Texas parks running every day. View Site


Recreation Programming Branch

Branch President: JoAnn Zimmerman, San Marcos

The Recreation Programming Branch focuses on the budgeting, planning and execution of major programming needs of cities and communities across the state. View Site


 

Therapeutic Recreation Branch

Branch President: Tori Thibodeaux, Sachse

The Therapeutic Recreation Branch aims to unite professionals who utilize recreation and other activity-based interventions based upon the assessed needs of individuals with illnesses and/or disabling conditions. View Site
